Day One

I did SO much running around today! SO many offices to go to and so many people to see. Financial Aid, transcript transfers, book vouchers, parking permits, ID cards, Food Cards, buying books...all in different offices! Thank goodness for my roomies. I also bought stickers for my car, some gifts for the besties, t-shirts, a lanyard and a mess of other Western gear. Let me know if you want something!

My first class, Eng. Lit: Drama, ( and only class for Monday ) wasn't to bad. 35% of my grade is the midterm and 35% is the final, the rest a little note card project and discussions, so I'm thinking it's an easy "A". The thing I like best about my Drama class is the teacher believe in watching the plays, such as on movies or live, rather then reading them. She believes the playwrights meant for them to be seen and heard, not to be read aloud as we did say in high school. Tomorrow I have Earth Science and Eng.Lit: Poetry. I'm fairly excited for the Poetry class; as a state competitor in the subject, I'm hoping it will contribute to another quick "A'. I also got my room more put together. I had dinner with Jake and now here I sit with a quart of milk ( my comfort drink) preparing to do some reading for a class. I'm so exciting I know. Truth is, I'm a bit exhausted from being overwhelmed. But I'll be back to my normal energetic self in no time, I know it.

Things I learned Today:
*Don't put rice in the stirfry cooker/maker thingy. The chef guy gets really mad.
*The Staff, those who help you get all the things mentioned in paragraph one, well....only like 1 in 3 is nice and no matter how you smile at them and wish them a good day, they still glare at you.
*I missed Milk
*When the lights go out to watch a movie in Drama class, there are still those kids who snicker at naked body parts. Higher Education does not eliminate them. Le Sigh.

I'm going to go do some reading, love you.
Shan
